Covid-19 Update

Upon receiving you at Azul Talavera Country Club Torreón, we are committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with the protocols of experts to work to defeat COVID-19.

Our Cleanliness and Hygiene Council, made up of internal and external experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, is redefining our cleanliness and safety standards every day.

We actively monitor and develop our solutions to ensure an ongoing focus on the health and safety of our guests and associates. When guests check in with us, they will notice a number of additions to the security regime, designed to set an even higher standard of cleanliness in our facilities. The specific area of focus includes:

Face protection

Providing a safer environment for our guests and associates is a top priority.

Fully vaccinated guests are no longer obliged to use face covers or social distance in indoor or outdoor areas, however in Mexico, even with a green traffic light, we continue to manage the protocol for the use of face masks and social distance of 1.5 meters within the facilities of the hotel.

We also ask that unvaccinated guests continue to wear face covers and practice social distancing when in public spaces within the hotel. All Associates working in substantial or high transmission areas as defined by the CDC are vaccinated and wear face masks when indoors and outdoors.

Guest contact

To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, Azul Talavera Torreón will use signs in its lobbies to remind guests to uphold social distancing protocols and will remove or rearrange furniture to allow more space for distancing. The company plans to add partitions to reception counters to provide an additional level of caution to its guests and associates and is working with supply chain partners to make masks and gloves available to associates. You’ll see more hand sanitizing stations around the hotel grounds, near entrances and counters, elevators, and meeting and gym spaces.

Food safety

At Azul Talavera Country Club, our food handlers and supervisors are trained in safe food preparation and serving practices. The company’s food and beverage operations are required to conduct a self-inspection using their food safety standards as guidelines, and compliance is validated by independent audits. Azul Talavera Country Club is also improving sanitation guidelines and associate training videos that include hygiene and disinfection practices. In addition, the company is changing its operational practices for in-room dining and designing new approaches to buffets.
